Fatnana

Fatnana are Neil Smith and Paul Hindmarsh. Originally started as a 'bit of fun' recording project the idea soon gained momentum as people heard the work. The idea was always to do something very funky, driven by saxophone and bass guitar.

Influenced by 70s funk and TV shows, later day Miles Davis, Marcus Miller, Prince and the theme tune from Cagney and Lacy. We always intended to create a collection of songs that sound like the one incredibly driving funk track that you find on fusion albums before it disappears into a romantic ballad collection. That coupled with some of Fatnanas rock roots gives their songs an edgy fresh groove.

They are currently working on a full length album for release in October 2011. Hopefully followed by the creation of a live band for some gigs.
